Where do you work and what is your role in the company?

How far is your commute? How long does it take you each way? If you are teleworking, how long would your commute have been if you were commuting to the office?

6 miles about 1/2 each way. 

What is your commute mode and what made you decide to commute this way?

My commute mode is, ride my bike, even if there is a car in the driveway! And I do this because I want to lessen my carbon footprint. 

What do you enjoy about your commute (or teleworking)?

Riding through Fort Steilacoom Park and seeing the wildlife, doing some forest bathing and checking out the pups at the dog park!! 

Do you have any interesting stories from your commute?

Once a local cow and calf escaped from a nearby hobby farm. They were in the middle of the park. The park was cordoned off by the police and it was a HUGE ordeal to get them back home! Another time I watched the local fire department do some water training rescue practice, at the lake in the park, in the winter! Brrrr 

Do you think you save money by commuting this way?

Yes.

How does your company help accommodate your commute option? (ex: bike racks, free bus pass, vanpool subsidy, flexible work hours, telework incentives, etc.)

No.

Is there anything your company could do better to accommodate your commute option?

No.

What would you say to your fellow employees to inspire them to try using a commute option other than driving alone in their car?

[People think] they live too far away and or they think riding bikes is for kids and they are too old! Riding bikes is for EVERYONE!
