Employer Services

If you experience parking shortages at your worksite, want to improve your employee retention and productivity, or hope to emerge as a sustainable business with best practices in the community, a transportation program can help you meet your goals.

Transportation programs help to reduce the drive alone rate, support our region’s goal for a healthy environment and robust economy, and work to effectively reduce pollution, traffic congestion and fuel consumption.

Whether you have 5 employees or 500, have offices right by a bus line or further from a transit hub, the Pierce Trips Team can help you develop a program that supports your business needs and practices.

What Are the Benefits?

Developing an employer transportation program can:

  • Save your business money
  • Free up worksite parking
  • Help your business attract and retain the best employees
  • Increase employee morale and performance
  • Highlight your business’ sustainable or green practices

How Does My Business Get Started?

If your business has 100 or more full time employees your site may be required to participate under the Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Efficiency Act. To learn more about CTR and how it impacts affected worksites, visit the CTR Requirements page. Pierce Trips is ready to work with you to meet the CTR goals.

Emergency Ride Home

To help alleviate employee concerns about using a commute option, we provide an Emergency Ride Home program. If an employee who uses a commute option to get to work needs to attend to an emergency while at work, we’ll reimburse them for the cost of a taxi ride home, to their car, or to other approved locations.

Campaigns

Rewarding and acknowledging the great things smart commuters are doing is important. We promote a number of campaigns that reward smart commuters with great prizes.

Employer Leadership

We also want to acknowledge the work that goes into a successful worksite program, which is why we’ve created the Best Commuter Business leadership program.

ORCA Business Accounts

Providing transit passes to your employees is now even easier with the ORCA (One Regional Card for All) Business programs. If you already offer a transit subsidy, making the switch to ORCA could save you money and time. If you don’t offer a subsidy, providing ORCA to employees can be a valuable benefit and free up parking or save on leased spaces. Visit the ORCA for Businesses page to learn about the different types of accounts available. We are happy to provide your business with a cost analysis to determine the ways an ORCA account could save you money.
